Agent 2 of the video editing pipeline. Finds and removes spoken mistakes — stutters, repeated words, false starts, and retakes (re-recorded lines) — from a talking-head recording. Use after cut-silences, when asked to cut mistakes, remove stutters / repeats / filler restarts, clean up flubs, or keep the best take. Works review-gated: it proposes every cut with context and a reason for approval, then renders only the approved cuts via ffmpeg. Requires a word-level transcript.
Install
Run this in your project folder. It works with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and dozens of other agents.
$ npx skills add nateherkai/herk-edit-kit --skill cut-mistakesNeeds Node.js. Add -g to install for every project, or -a claude-code to skip the agent picker.
How to use Cut Mistakes
Once it's installed, Claude reads this skill on its own whenever a request matches what it's for, so you don't have to mention it by name. In Claude Code you can also run it directly by typing /cut-mistakes.
